Case Study: The Gin Thing

A very exciting project I have recently been working on, was the promotional images for Scotland’s Mobile Gin Bar – The Gin Thing. The brains behind the concept are Sue & Cliff Hewett.
Based in the beautiful Trossachs of Scotland, they decided they had had enough of working for other people and decided to venture out on their own, with the unique idea of a mobile gin bar.

The project took them, six months, to obtain and lovingly convert a two horse trailer, into a stunning and extremely cool, Gin Bar.

After a couple of meetings and a bit of location scouting, I had a clear idea of what Sue was trying to portray to her potential clients.

We focussed on a wedding scenario, and sourced a stunning location to take the photos. That helped suggest the style and atmosphere that Sue was trying to embrace.

We involved a local florists, Bramble & Thyme, to dress the Horsebox, and provide bouquets and button holes.

We booked the sunshine & a beautiful day in May, for the photo shoot along, with Dan the horse and his owners.
It was perfect.

A bank of images was produced, so Sue can utilise for social media requirements and promotional materials. We followed up the photo shoot with The Gin Thing’s Garden Launch Party.

Which as you can imagine was a hit! What’s not to love?

Best of luck guys with the new venture,

Joanne
